On the left you can see the weeds coming in nicely.

 

Canna

My drawings of plants are usually weeds from my yard but this one is not a weed. I know this because it was at the Boehner Botanical Gardens and it had a sign that said Canna.

Weeds 5

This little weed is growing out of a crack between the cement walk way and some brick pavers.

 

It’s about 4 inches tall and has a dark purple flower with yellow at the center.

Weeds 4

This is the same plant I posted one year ago in Weeds 3. It is now a monster of a plant, far to big to draw in its entirety, on my little Palm Zire screen. I’ve noticed this plant in other yards around the neighborhood but have no idea what it is.

This plant has large dark green leaves and little tear drop shaped purple blossoms.

Weeds 3

Sometimes if you don’t pull a weed it grows tall and flowers. You can’t tell from this black and white drawing but this weed has little purple flowers that hang down from the top of the stalk.

Since my most popular post to date has been about weeds I thought I would post some more weed drawings. Ya’ gotta give the people what they want.

I’ve got no idea what this is.

Weeds

The yard is full of weeds and I decided to draw some of them before pulling them out. I’m a backyard naturalist.

This was a very tall plant with a woody stalk. I was only able to fit the top portion in my PDA’s display screen.

This plant was about 15 inches tall. I have no idea what it is.
